Welcome!

The Sycamore Presbyterian Church Family Ministries program strives to create an environment that brings our youngest worshippers and their families together to: Grow their relationship with Jesus Christ, equip them for a life-long journey of faith, and bring them into a family of believers who serve and worship God in all we do.

We are so excited to have you with us at Sycamore Presbyterian Church. God is constantly moving and shaking things up to help us grow, and we are excited to see what wonderful ways God will bless us this year.

We have dedicated teachers and volunteers ready to show your children how much God loves them! Our family ministry programs are committed to a quality Christian education program that will keep our young people safe and teach them relational, experiential, applicable, and age-appropriate lessons about God and God’s amazing love.

If you think of our family ministries as a sycamore tree, you will find the children’s ministries upstairs in the tree’s canopy. This is where children (preK through grade 6) are safe to play and learn that God loves them and Jesus wants to be their life-long friend!

Offerings for Children

Nursery

(infants-age 3)

Care is provided on Sunday mornings for our littlest blessings by certified, caring individuals. The nursery is located on the first floor of Vogel Hall, the Christian Education wing.

SYcamore Preschool

SPP students enter Kindergarten well prepared, as our curriculum leads directly into the Ohio K-12 standards used in all public, and many private schools in this area.

Sunday School

(PreK/K, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6)

During the 9:30am service, following the Children’s Message, upstairs on the second floor of Vogel Hall, the Christian Education wing.

OUR New ‘Prayground’

(Suitable for ages 2-10)

During our 11:00am service, we invite all ages to come worship. Our ‘Prayground’ is located at the front of the worship area and is designed to keep our children involved in worship in an educational and age appropriate way.

Worship Bags

Worship bags are available in the back of the sanctuary and include a variety of pew activities for young children.

Join us for vbs 2025: True North!

June 9-13, 2025

At True North, kids discover what it means to trust Jesus in a wild world! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of Jesus’ love, and test out sciency-fun experiments they’ll never forget. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with a Compass Closing that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

Kids at True North will join a missions effort to provide families in North America with new warm clothes and cozy blankets!

True North is for kids from age 4 through grade 5 and will run from 9am to 12pm each day. For more information, email rboden@sycamorechurch.org!
