Maxwell Shirley

Jazz guitarist at CCM previously a music Education major and now a jazz studies major. He Has been playing guitar for 10 years studying under the tutelage of Brad Myers and Benjamin Thomas. He also has taken time to learn Bass and the Ukulele For the past 5 years. Currently graduated, Max has played in the pit for several musicals including: Big fish, Shrek the musical, Spring Awakening, Yeast Nation, 42nd Street, High school musical, Pippin, and Xanadu. He has played in several local jazz bands along with big bands and jazz orchestras and even more rock bands and has opened for Blink-182. When he is not out playing he is in the studio writing and producing music for himself and other bands, and has been teaching privately for the past 9 years.
