Angela Yeo
Angela Yeo (soprano), originally of South Korea, studying with Mary Schiller in Cleveland institute of music. Yeo was Medea in Cherubini’s Medea, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte and Suor Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Before coming to Cleveland her roles included Suor Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and La Contessa in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. Other roles in concert program were Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Leonora in Verdi’s Oberto, conte di San Bonifacio, Magda in Puccini’s La Rondine and Aida in Verdi’s Aida. Yeo was granted the Boris Goldovsky award in opera. Currently a soprano soloist in St. Barnabas church and director of Music and Language Studio.
